Mothers Day PoPs...
Are you already planing Mother's Day? Look at these adorable cake pops by LoveLane Cupcakes posted in my Flickr group Cakes on a Stick. The flowers are divine.
Momofuku Milk Bar Baking
Christina Tosi is one of my idols. She thinks outside the box in her baking and makes everything taste like it is from your grandmothers oven. If your grandmother was a Master Pastry Chef. I love cook books. I love learning. I have not been this excited about a cookbook in my whole life. I got a gift card to Williams and Sonoma from my Boyfriends awesome parents for Christmas and we right there to pick this book up. They also sell their Milk Bar cookie mixes.
If you like following along I suggest you go pick up this book because I am going to spend the next couple of months testing, baking, trying and reviewing every recipe in the book and sharing it with you. If you love to bake you will love the advice, recipes and beauty in this book
Soon we will be whipping up cereal milk, making cornflakes crunch and baking some cornflakes-marshmallow-chocolate chip-cookies. I can't wait.
JIngle Bell Reindeer Cake Pops

I am still learning all this graphics creating business with the help of my amazing Boyfriend. I am going to post the graphics here and you can feel free to copy them, use them, abuse them and have some dang decorating fun :) I will also add them to the Doll up you Blog Cupcakes page for easy access. So have fun Cupcakes!

Christmas Cake Pop Sophistication
Attempting these cake pops is more then a year and half in the making. It was lunch time this exact time last year with my best friend Amanda. We were discussing our differences in styles. This is us...
I am not happy unless something is dipped and dripping in glitter. While we were lunching Amanda said something that struck me (I am sure she won't even remember). She said, "My biggest problem with your cake pops and all this cake pop madness is what if you are a grown up?" "What if I don't want to eat a Princess head or some other cutesie thing." This was just about the time I brought these to work last year for Christmas:
I have been thinking about our conversation since last year. I decided for this Christmas to make a Christmas cake pop a little more on the subdued side. Something a little classier. Something I think Amanda might order if she was throwing a high class Christmas party for adults.
I decided on a simple green candy melt base with red ribbion frosting wrapped around it. (I am still working on my piping skills but I think they came out mostly decent). I hope if you are more classy like Amanda and less glitter like me these cake pops will give you some ideas for your Christmas party this year.
Now about my Glitter Tree!!
Merry Christmas. May all your baking adventures go amazing and if they don't, may you get it on video and put it on youtube so I can laugh along with you!

iSprinkled on your Cupcake
My loyal readers and friends who have followed my blog since the beginning know how much I appreciate the Mommy blogging community. Us Moms are amazing. We share recipes, time, effort and support for each other. We leave comments of love, encouragement and advice on everything from raising our children to tips to keep the Turkey from drying out. Being a Mom of a special needs child, working full time and running a blog is challenging. I have been working on a way to raise a little money to keep the blog up and running, keep the cake pop love flowing and stay in the warm community I love so much. I have teamed up with Cafe Press to bring you my new store: iSprinkledonyourcupcake
I came up with some cute sayings/designs to launch the store and will be adding more graphics and designs to as it grows. Christmas is coming so pop in and pick up something to show your favorite Baker how much you love them.
Here are some of the cute and fun items you can purchase for your favorite baker or cupcake artist!

Mummy Spooky Cake Pops
I received a few emails asking for links to the Mummy Cake Pops I made last year for Jordan's Halloween Party at School. Because this is what I will be making again I decided to share my version of the
Yummy Mummies by Bakerella again this Halloween for your little spooks to enjoy!
FOR SCHOOL:
All children can have allergies to foods like peanuts but special needs children seem to have these allergies at a higher rate. It is a good idea when ever shipping your little hero off to school with a new batch of HeroCakePops to make sure they are labeled with ingredients for the teachers.
Now turn to page 131 in Bakerella's Cake Pop book and lets make some Yummy Mummies!
First we need one mini-hero dressed as a bee....Check!
Then we need to bake our cake - let it cool - mix it with 1/3 can of frosting - roll cake pops!
The great thing about Mummies is they can be what ever color you like best! I dipped my cake pops in white chocolate (candy melts) This part is all up to the artist/baker (or the baker's helpers)!
Then we need some green and white Yummy Mummies!! After baking the basic cake pop (I used a store bought white cake mix for ease) and cooling the mummies were ready to be painted with candy melts.I first coated all the mummies in white like described in the book. Then once all mummies were made I used green gel based coloring (never water) and tinted the rest of the white candy melt booger green! I then used a disposable piping bag to pipe on the mummy wrap!

Some of my favorite sprinkles!!
Hello Friends!
Do you like to make things sparkle? Well then you are going to love this Hologram Silver Disco Dust. This post is about where I buy some of my sprinkles and shiny things that make baking awesome.
I know it has been a little while since I have posted but I promise I have a wonderful reason. I have been preparing for this little one to come in a few weeks:
Our baby boy should be on his way into the world very soon and we can't wait. However being put on bed rest off and on has made it hard to do what I love (baking and sharing with you) and I can't wait to get back in the swing of things soon.
Until then I thought I would share a store you might not have visited yet. I purchase most my sprinkles from here and. I really love sprinkles. Sprinkles make CAKE POPS fun, yummy and pretty. The trick with sprinkles is to make sure they are not to heavy and crack the chocolate as it hardens.
This is one of my favorite sprinkles stores:Layer Cake Shop
Here are my favorite type of sprinkles I order: Chunky Sugar Assortment
They remind me of rock candy when I was growing up and are great for decorating CAKE POPS or CUPCAKES. I have used the black for Halloween and if I am up for baking when the 4th of July gets here I plan on using the red. They have many other type of sprinkles if chunky is not your style!
If you have a certain type of sprinkle you just can't bake without leave me a comment with a link! I love trying new sprinkles!
PS: Layer Cake Shop has never heard of HeroCakePops I am just a fan and customer!

I Heart Cake Pops and Wilton!
Are you one of those people who wait all year for Christmas? Who decorate the house and string up the lights before Halloween is even upon us? Well I am one of those people who wait for Christmas to be over every year so I can start decorating and celebrating Valentine's Day. The Day of Love! It is my favorite Holiday of the year. Don't be a cynic, don't be hater just jump on board the cake pop love train and lets bake a little romance into our lives! Once I received the Wilton Cake Pop Kit for their Pops in a Post Contest I couldn't wait to get started on:
Introducing the Love Pops:
Are you ready to join in me in some sugar and spice and every thing nice cake pop love fest???
Well here is what we will need:
Time to prepare the decorations and bake us some cake!!!
The Love Pops:
I loved getting to decorate these cake pops and begin testing out my V-Day ideas with all my new toys I received for Christmas. Especially my new Wilton cake pop book: Pop! Sweets on a Stick! I got my idea for the Love Pops from scanning the colorful pages of my new book. If you love cake pops I highly recommend it. Baking brings joy to my house, a smile to my daughter and a satisfied tummy to my man. What else could a Cupcake wish for? I hope everyone enjoyed the cake pops. Now go forth into the world my Hearts and bake some love into your lives! (I <3 Wilton but Wilton doesn't pay/poke/prod/nudge me or my thoughts/views/words in any way. They did send me an awesome Pops kit! Thank you Wilton! I needed a new chocolate pro. Mine has been used/abused/smashed and once home to a Barbie Bath.)
PS: Check out this new cake pop stand Wilton makes! Totally needed. Now I can stop spending
all sorts of money I don't have on Styrofoam blocks...

Introducing the Love Pops:
Are you ready to join in me in some sugar and spice and every thing nice cake pop love fest???
Well here is what we will need:
Wilton's new Pops! Sweets on a stick! It is full of awesome cake pop ideas and other kind of pop treats. If you love cake pops (and oh lordy I do) then this book is a must!
You can buy this at your local hobby store in the cake/baking section or you can buy it online here: Rolled Fondant Neon Colors . You can also make your own Wilton has several good Fondant recipes on their web site as well.
Lolly-pop sticks are a must for Love Pops. I got mine at Michael's but you can also purchase here: Lolly-Sticks . Here you can be super creative as well and use red candy-canes, wooden spears or what ever you can come up with.
Candy Melts are a must if you are serious about cake popping. Unless you have extensive work with chocolate it is really hard to get real chocolate to melt to the right consistency and stay at that consistency. Wilton has also made a new candy melt just for dipping cake pops: Candy Melts
Let me preach it to you for a minute my fellow Cupcakes of the world. If you bake/decorate/mold/dip/cake pop or do anything else crafty in the kitchen then you need a chocolate pro. Melting chocolate in the microwave is for the birds. My red chocolate pro has seen plenty of use and abuse and keeps on chugging along. I got this brand new Chocolate Prop from Wilton as part of the Blogger Cake Pop contest. I <3 the chocolate pro. They sale these at WalMart, Michael's and all sort of other stores or you can buy here: Chocolate Pro .
Time to prepare the decorations and bake us some cake!!!
Roll out the fondant and cut out some hearts.
I painted mine with red disco dust because sparkles are a Cupcake's right.
I just LOVE V-Day!
I wanted to try out some of the new pan/molds I got in my blogger kit and they turned out great! You can find all sorts of cool cake pop molds here: Bake some love into it!
I made a simple store bought chocolate cake with no fuss and easy clean up...
Once cake cooled crumble up and add about half a can of frosting to the mix. Don't add too much frosting or you will have a super hard time getting the cake balls to stick together on the Lolly-pop.
If you really want nicely shaped cake pops use a small ice cream scoop to help you form the right amount of cake mix in each cake ball.
Pretty little home made chocolates to help with decorations of the cake pops.
I think these new flower cake pops are my new favorite. There are so many things you can do with these when decorating. The possibilities are endless!
Lets get our dip on!
